Everyone Has AI Review.
Nobody Made It Defensible.

Maveria is the independent verification and privilege-protection layer that sits on top of the e-discovery platform your counsel already uses.

The Problem

Everyone Has Free AI Review. Nobody Made It Trustable.

The value didn't disappear when AI review went free — it moved. From doing the review to being able to defend it. When a model misrepresents a document, that error cascades into wrong coding decisions across the whole matter. In litigation, "rarely wrong" means wrong in the case that ends a career.

Hallucinated Summaries, Cascading Errors

GenAI coders generate summaries and rationales that read fluently and sometimes aren't supported by the document. Reviewers code off those summaries. One unsupported claim quietly propagates across thousands of decisions.

73%
of AI initiatives stall on a lack of verification and data discipline — not on model quality. The platforms grade their own homework; a judge doesn't accept that.

Privilege Is Where the Malpractice Lives

Dual-purpose advice, forwarded chains that break privilege, third parties that destroy it. A general-relevance model is not conservative enough for the one call where being wrong is a waiver — and no GC bets that on a feature buried in their counsel's platform.

FRE 502(b)
Inadvertent waiver and clawback (502(d)) turn a single missed document into a front-page failure. The leak gate is the last line before production goes out the door.

No Record, No Defense

Under FRCP 26(g)'s "reasonable inquiry" standard, the question is: how do you know the documents you withheld were correctly classified? Most teams can't answer with a statistically valid protocol — they can only point at the discard pile and hope.

26(g)
The discard ("null") set is the single most-skipped step in AI review. Maveria samples it independently to measure what's hiding there — and writes down the proof.
"Relativity can't credibly validate Relativity's own AI. The vendor grading its own homework is not a defense you take to a judge. Independence isn't a feature an incumbent can ship — it's the whole product."
— Maveria's founding principle
Why Maveria

You Don't Need Another Review Platform. You Need the Defensibility Layer.

The Platform

Three Modules, One Defensible Process.

Mapped to where AI made discovery riskier — coding quality, privilege, and the record itself.

Module 01

Verify

An independent QC engine on the AI's coding — run statistically, not on vibes.

  • Null-set & control-set sampling for recall and elusion
  • Hallucination checks that re-derive claims against source text
  • Drift & consistency checks against senior seed decisions
  • Recall / precision / elusion with confidence intervals
Module 02

Privilege

A dedicated pass far more conservative than any relevance model — the wedge.

  • Relationship-aware detection of legal vs. business advice
  • Clawback risk scoring tied to FRE 502(b) / 502(d)
  • Drafted privilege-log entries with citations, for sign-off
  • Pre-production leak gate on the final production set
Module 03

Record

One immutable, exportable artifact per matter — the thing you attach to a declaration.

  • Validation protocol, sampling methodology & results
  • Human-in-the-loop decisions and chain-of-custody
  • Model & prompt version history per matter
  • Aligned to Sedona Conference principles
How It Connects

The Auditor, Not a Second Copy of Your Data.

Maveria connects through platform APIs and works on coding decisions, model outputs, and sampled subsets — never your full corpus.

01 — CONNECT

Connector layer

Links to your workspace on RelativityOne, Everlaw, DISCO or Reveal. No migration, no rip-and-replace.

02 — SAMPLE

Orchestration

Decides what to pull — null-set samples and high-risk privilege candidates — as review progresses, not just at the end.

03 — ANALYZE

Ephemeral enclave

LLM reasoning for privilege and hallucination + classical statistics for the validity math, in a per-matter no-retention enclave.

04 — RECORD

The only thing that persists

The Defensibility Record store — your system of record for process defensibility, exportable on demand.

Built to pass a Fortune-500 infosec review on day one — SOC 2 Type II · per-matter isolation · we never keep your documents.
